New poster “Matrix Resurrections” recalls the original
As we begin towards the end of 2021, we move closer and closer to the arrival of the highly anticipated fourth installment of the Matrix series While the details surrounding the film have been shrouded in mystery, we know a lot more now than six months ago. And now we have a brand new poster to look at as we eagerly await the arrival of December.
Title Matrix resurrections, the film directed by Lana Wachowski will bring back franchise veterans Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss and Jada Pinkett-Smith. In October, it was confirmed that the film would be rated R for “violence and a little bit of language”. A month later, a real trailer arrived, giving us a glimpse of the alluring and terrifying world that lies ahead. Yet the actual content of the plot remains to be discovered.
Check out the new poster below:
Neo de Reeves is in the foreground, flanked by Moss as Trinity and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Morpheus. Further to the left, Pinkett Smith is seen as Niobe, with Jessica Henwick’s blue haired bugs on the right.
Here is the official synopsis of Warner Bros.:
In two realities – everyday life and what’s behind it – Thomas (Keanu Reeves) will again have to choose to follow the White Rabbit. Choice, although an illusion, is still the only way to get in or out of the Matrix, which is more dangerous than ever. Directed, produced and co-written by Lana Wachowski.
Matrix resurrections debuts in theaters on December 25, Christmas Day. It will also air on the ad-free level of HBO Max on the same date and will be available for a month before leaving the platform.
