Minecraft Bedrock is getting a new UI with the 1.19.10 update
After years of annoying accidental clicks and confusing menus, Minecraft Bedrock 1.19.10 has finally introduced a whole new UI to the game. And it’s better than anything you could expect. With the new UI for Minecraft Bedrock, the game is now cleaner, more modern, and much easier to navigate. Unless you’ve already been experimenting with the new UI for a few months using Minecraft Preview, we have a lot to reveal. So, let’s dive in!
Sleek and Modern UI in Minecraft Bedrock 1.19
Compared to earlier UI designs and the current Java Edition UI, Minecraft Bedrock has the most modern UI in all of its versions. The new user interface is elegant, dynamic and visually much simpler to navigate through. And you don’t have to take our word for it. The screenshot below illustrates the differences between the old Minecraft Bedrock UI and the one released with the 1.19.10 update.
As you can notice here, the new UI clearly contrasts different toggles with distinct vibrant colors. And even though the design is modern looking, it keeps the physical appearance of the button-like menus intact. Even the classic Minecraft font remains the same. Moreover, the new UI also solves the problem of Minecraft Bedrock not being friendly and welcoming for new users. We also get a brief description of each option in the settings that players of all skill levels can use.
How to Activate the New Minecraft Bedrock UI
Navigate to the “Create a new world” section and its subsections, the Achievements section and world settings of existing worlds (for certain players only)
Depending on the player’s response to the new UI, we might see it implemented in Minecraft Bedrock. In the meantime, you can read more about the thought process for the new Bedrock UI from the official developer blog. That said, do you like the new UI?
