VAN BUREN, Maine – Van Buren Regional Technology Center is pleased to announce that Emberlie McIntyre recently won third place in the State Future Business Leaders of America Graphic Design Competition.

FBLA is a non-profit educational association for college, high school, and college students who want to learn more about the free enterprise system.

In the FBLA competition, McIntyre was tasked with creating a brochure in which she mimicked a menu for a fictional restaurant. She then presented this brochure and her ideas to a jury at a Zoom meeting.

This is the first year that students participate in this competition. The technology center thanked Steve Thibodeau, FBLA advisor and business professor, for providing this opportunity to the students.
