Las Vegas Raiders make key announcements on their roster
HENDERSON, Nev. – Las Vegas Raiders signed free agent defensive tackle Damion Square and goalie Jordan Simmons, the club announced on Wednesday.
Square entered the league as an undrafted free agent with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2013. The 6-foot-2, 293-pound defensive tackle made saves with the Eagles (2013-14), Kansas Chiefs City (2014) and Los Angeles Chargeurs (2014-20).
Most recently, Square spent part of the 2021 offseason with the Cleveland Browns and New Orleans Saints before signing with the Chicago Bears practice squad early in the season.
Simmons joined the Silver and Black as an undrafted free agent in 2017, when he spent the season on the practice squad before joining the Seattle Seahawks (2018-20).
The 6-foot-4, 239-pound guard has played 20 games with nine starts in his career.
In addition, the club signed security Ha Ha Clinton-Dix in the training team.
Clinton-Dix was a first-round selection (21st overall) by the Green Bay Packers in the 2014 NFL Draft.
The 6-foot-1, 211-pound safety made stops with Green Bay (2014-18), Washington (2018) and Chicago (2019). He has played 96 games with 90 starts in his career, recording 516 tackles (411 solo), 5.5 sacks, 16 interceptions including one return for a touchdown, 33 defended passes, four forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries. .
In the corresponding moves, the Raiders placed guard Denzelle Good and defensive tackle Gerald McCoy on reserve / injured list and freed cornerback Madre Harper of the training team.
