MOUNT PROSPECT, Illinois – (BUSINESS WIRE) – Bosch Power Tools, a global leader in power tools and power tool accessories, today announced the launch of the latest generation of its BLAZE â„¢ laser measurements, equipped with 11 different measurement functions and a range of up to up to 65 feet. Designed for total durability with full rubber overmolded housings protecting every point of impact and IP65, this second generation BLAZE laser measurements are designed to withstand harsh conditions in HVAC, concrete masonry, woodworking applications. and more. BLAZE brings a dual power source to the world of laser measurement – these tools are powered by two standard AA batteries or the extended run-time GLM-BAT (lithium-ion battery).

“Now with improved measurement functions such as tape measure and high count mode for better visibility and improved tool settings for ease of use, we are pleased to present the latest generation of BLAZE laser measurements”, said Ricardo Pedroso, Product manager for Bosch power tools. “The range is intentionally designed with end users in mind and designed to withstand virtually any job in any application and offers a huge advantage with its dual power source capabilities.”

In addition to improved durability, the second generation of laser measurements offers a wide variety of improved features based on user feedback. Now with tape measure mode, the line offers live measurement displayed in a traditional and visual way for users accustomed to using traditional tape measures. Laser measurements also feature a large numbers mode, displaying large digits for quick and easy readability, focusing only on essential information and dimming everything else on the screen.

For ease of use, laser measurements include an advanced user interface with advanced HMI and higher contrast to improve visibility in all environments. The easy-to-read, backlit color display illuminates numbers with distinct resolution, for working in low-light or no-light conditions. The GLM165-25G, GLM165-27CG and GLM165-27CGL models are also equipped with green beam laser technology which generates a spot up to 4 times brighter than standard red beams. In addition, all BLAZE laser measurement models come with a belt clip for convenient carrying and easy access.

New tool settings include a haptic feedback feature providing confirmation of successful or failed measurements, a battery saver mode that lowers brightness and disables audio and haptic feedback for more runtime, and a Delete memory option to clear all memory locations in one operation. The animation function creates intuitive graphics for easy understanding of how the measurement function is used and the usage data storage function allows users to continue at the point where they left off even if the tool is off. Additional new tool settings include brightness adjustment, language options, tool information, factory reset, and a help setting.

BLAZE laser measurements are equipped for dual compatibility with alkaline or lithium-ion batteries, offering more flexibility to the user. The BLAZE GLM165-27CGL includes the Bosch GLM-BAT 3.7V lithium-ion battery, a second power source that significantly increases the runtime of the BLAZE Gen 2 family by almost 67% and improves performance. cold weather performance compared to standard AA batteries. . Thanks to the advanced charging circuit, the user can even charge and operate the BLAZE â„¢ Gen 2 family at the same time. The GLM-BAT 3.7V battery only needs 15 minutes of charging time for 30 minutes of tool operation.
