Bold Predictions – South Carolina vs Georgia Football
Georgia is a 32.0-point home favorite against an unnamed SEC opponent Vanderbilt.
It’s a wild and true statement. South Carolina arrive in Athens as a football team (2-0) under the guidance of a first-year head coach amid a rather drastic rebuild. On the other hand, Georgia are apparently gearing up for a college football playoff race.
So if Georgia is to run its business on Saturday, what will that look like? And what are the bold predictions for the game?
Kendall Milton has a career 100-yard debut
Georgia rushed for a peak of 332 rushing yards a year ago against this South Carolina football team. And while they have a new defensive coordinator, they still lead a similar front, mostly made up of the same players.
One of those Georgian running backs is up for a big day on the pitch and we’re going with Clovis’ The Kid, Kendall Milton. His career high in yards at this point in his career is 56 yards on 8 carries against Tennessee a year ago, and against a South Carolina roster that isn’t that good from the get-go. .
Georgia has three interceptions
Luke Doty or Zeb Noland as quarterback for South Carolina, it doesn’t really matter. Georgia will put pressure on the Gamecocks quarterback for four quarters and that comes with forced and rushed throws. Georgia will return to South Carolina on Saturday, it’s just a matter of how many times.
They had three interceptions a week ago against UAB, and we at Dawgs Daily believe they continue that trend on Saturday night against South Carolina.
Georgia launches a shutdown
Georgia’s defense is arguably the best in the country, allowing just 188 yards of attack per game in its first two games. It’s going to be overwhelming for a South Carolina offense. The Gamecocks have pitched the ball on 62% of snaps this season, a recipe for disaster against a Georgian program that has led the nation in rushing yards allowed over the past two seasons.
