Athletes turn to companies like MAGZ Sports for NIL | OR Additional Sports
MAGZ – led by Gross, who has experience in market sales, and Altick, an attorney – is a Dallas-based clothing, branding and marketing agency exclusively licensed (for now) in Oklahoma, l ‘one of the many branches NIL across the country to enter the space still regulated since July 1. That’s the point ? Maximize athletes and their NIL opportunities across all avenues, from merchandise to appearances to autograph sessions to an app called “Meetlete,” which allows fans to pay for video calls with their favorite athletes.
In a new era where the privileged few are partnering with professional agencies for NIL advice, such as Oklahoma quarterback Spencer Rattler, and others on their own, MAGZ and companies like it are across the country offer common ground. And the company’s client list is growing because of it; Past Sanders, a deep group of Cowboys including Malcolm Rodriguez, Jayden Jernigan and Caleb Etienne, and Sooners Marcus Hicks and Savion Byrd have signed in a bid to increase their NIL prospects.
“It’s like having a middleman,” said running back Dezmon Jackson, another MAGZ customer from Oklahoma State. “You don’t have to do everything yourself. They can help you. They can talk to people you might not be able to get in touch with. It’s useful.”
The business aspect is simple.
When a given athlete signs with MAGZ, he has access to the services provided by the agency.
