Android Auto update coming soon; to achieve split-screen interface and enhanced user interface
– Better assistant integration which is able to suggest replies to text messages
– Updated Android Auto will be compatible with smartphones running on stock Android software
Google’s Android Auto connectivity feature will get a new update soon. At the recently concluded Google I/O event, the company unveiled the updated Android Auto interface. The current version of Android Auto is not designed to adapt to different screen sizes. This problem is believed to be fixed in the new version of Android Auto, which now adapts to the size and shape of any vehicle’s infotainment screen.
Additionally, the updated Android Auto user interface is now compatible with newer smartphones running on stock Android software. This also means that it will now get a familiar font and shapes to improve the overall user experience. Additionally, Android Auto will now offer a split-screen feature with a three-tile format that allows navigation, media and communication (phone calls and text messages) to run simultaneously.
The new Android Auto offers better integration of the assistant which is able to suggest replies to text messages from friends, share the arrival time with any contact or recommend music options. The latest version of Android Auto is expected to be rolled out by Google gradually over the coming months.
